The Red Lodge Lady Rams ended the week well with a one-point victory over Joliet and blotting out the memory of a 61-33 loss to Columbus the day before.

The Lady Rams lie between these two teams in the District 4B standings, with a 4-5 record for the season so far.

The victory over the J-Hawks keeps them fairly secure for now but a missed opportunity came with he defeat at Columbus.

The Lady Rams struggled from the outset against Columbus staring at an insurmountable climb by the half of 32-11. A more focused 2nd half saw them claw back some 22 points but not before allowing 29 in return.

Dorothy Mastel hammered in 11 points with Emma Evenson on 8.  Another five players procured points for the team.

A better time was had by all against Joliet, with the Lady Rams leaving no prisoners in an important 2nd set that saw them halt Joliet’s rampant charge to take it 13-2.

A continuing push by the Rams saw them win the 3rd 13-9 before nervously allowing the Lady J-Hawks 19 in the finale.

Mastel shared the top scorer merits with Meadow Smith, both with 12.

For Joliet Shayla Weber made an impressive 25 points with Tysa Oswald claiming 9.
