Morris Alvin Giesick

Morris Giesick, 86, of Laurel, formerly from Bridger, Montana, passed away Jan. 9, 2018, from complications of pneumonia.
Morris was born March 20, 1931, in Park City, Montana, to Eva and Jacob Giesick. He graduated from Edgar High School. He was honorably discharged from the Army after serving in the Korean Conflict from October 1951 to July 1953. Morris married Amelia “Millie” Lackman on Dec. 28, 1951. In 1958, they moved to Bridger to farm.
Morris loved his family. He enjoyed teasing anyone he met and was liked by many.
Morris is survived by his children, Karen (Mike) Maddaus of Laurel, Gail (Paul) Steinmetz of Joliet, Mark (Dian) Giesick, grandsons, Clinton and Clayton Giesick all of Bridger, numerous nieces and nephews.
Morris was preceded in death by the love of his life, Millie, his daughter, Mary Kay, his parents, sister, Helen Melin, brothers Jack and Robert Giesick.
Funeral service were held Monday, Jan. 15 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 404 S. 3rd St., Bridger, Montana, with visitation at 9:30 a.m. Interment was held at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 1721 Central Ave., Billings, Montana, at 2 p.m. Memorials can be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, PO Box 310, Bridger, MT 59014 or a charity of ones choice.
The family would like to thank the staff of Laurel Health and Rehabilitation for the excellent care and friendship you gave Dad.
