Norrine the Outlaw Queen Still Riding High

Even though she picked out her burial plot in the Belfry Cemetery long ago, Norrine the Outlaw Queen, aka Norrine Morris Linder- man Proue Gambs, is in no hurry to use it. She is still singing, playing- ing, and enjoying life according to an article in Sunday’s Billings Gazette by Jake Iverson. She still has a place in many Carbon County hearts as demonstrated by the recent Carbon County Historical Society Facebook post about her which generated substantial interest and comments. She currently lives at Bella Terra Retirement Home in Billings. She hasn’t performed recently but has indicated she may be popping into Tiny’s Tavern for a gig or two around Independence Day. Today, June 9, Norrine turns 92 years old. She would love to receive birthday cards and greetings. Cards can be sent to: Norrine Gambs, Bella Terra, 1807 24th Street West, Billings, Montana 59102.
