Zier Gallery, Bridger, presents Elizabeth LaRowe and Dana Zier Poetic Views:  Artists’ Paintings with Poetry by Meighan LaRowe Perry, Feb. 9-March 9.

This exhibit is a colorful collaboration of fellow artists’ paintings and Meighan LaRowe Perry’s poetry.

Elizabeth, “Betsy’, explores watercolor, in a vivid, expressive style, along with her daughter’s beautiful poetry.  Striving to capture a moment and a mood in time has been the driving force for Elizabeth’s work, and the viewer can connect instantly with the fluid marks, and expressive color.

Dana Zier capitalizes on vivid light, as well as variations within the color associations in her work.  The color dances and leads the eye as it flows and repeats through her oil paintings.

Color and light are the focus of Eliabethe LaRowe’s work, and enhance the lyrical quality of her work in this exhibit.  Elizabeth’s daughter, Meighan, has created her own poetic form called ‘anem’, the Biblical definition of which means “two fountains.” These poems, written in response to Elizabeth’s work, and in conjunction with Dana Zier’s, fill the show with poetry of eye, ear and light.

LaRowe and Perry have self-published two books based on their paintings and poetry. Elizabeth’s works being chosen to be published recently in North Light Books: Splash 16, Spash 18, and Splash 20.
