Patricia Ann and Jerry Lee Nordstrom

Thursday, September 27, 2018

After a lifetime together, Patricia Ann Nordstrom (b. April 2, 1940) and Jerry Lee Nordstrom (b. September 16, 1937) passed away only weeks apart from each other - Patricia on June 29, 2018 followed by Jerry on July 22, 2018, in Missoula.  The couple were married on November 2, 1963.

Patti earned a degree from Metropolitan State College in Denver and was employed as a teacher and, at one point, a weather girl for a local radio station.  She participated in groups such as PEO, DAR, and, along with her husband, Jerry, was a member of the Rotary Club.  Patti enjoyed skiing, reading, Mother-Daughter trips to Las Vegas, and spending time with her family.

Born and raised in Red Lodge, Jerry received his undergraduate degree from the University of Montana and his Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Denver.  Jerry was a respected therapist for many years, practicing in Colorado, Montana, and Alaska.  He was a member of SAE and the Magic City Singers Choir.  Jerry was an avid cyclist, fisherman, hunter, kayaker, and musician.

Together, Patti and Jerry were loving and  devoted parents and grandparents, as well as active members of the community, living in Golden, Wheat Ridge, and Denver, CO, Barrow, AK, and Red Lodge, Billings, and, most recently, Missoula.

They are preceded in death by Jerry’s parents, Edward and Laura Nordstrom of Red Lodge, Patti’s parents, Clarence and Lulu Coons of Worland, WY, Jerry’s brother, Don Nordstrom, and Patti’s sisters, Helen Miller and May Anderson.

They are survived by their son, Jace Nordstrom, daughter-in-law, Kristine, granddaughter, Miranda, and grandson, Dakota, of Phoenix, AZ; their son, Christopher Nordstrom, granddaughter, Kady, and grandsons, Jory and Noah, of Missoula; Jerry’s brother, Wally Nordstrom and sister-in-law, Shari, of Red Lodge; Patti’s brother, Robert Taylor and sister-in-law, Dorothy, of Worland, WY, and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be notified at a later time as to the details of a service.
