Red Lodge boys marked the New Year with two agonizingly close defeats, first to Roundup 49-44 and then to Broadview-Lavina 49-46.

The Roundup Panthers trailed the Rams 37-31 going into the 4th quarter and totally overhauled the shocked Rams.  Burke Mastel lead in points with 10 with Thomas Buchanan and Jacob Stewart getting 9 each.

The game against Broadview/Lavina didn’t have the same surprise ending but had almost the same score as the Rams fought hard to stay close to the undefeated opponents.

The teams neutralized themselves for most of the encounter with Broadview-Lavina nearly always getting the edge of their opponents;  11-14, 11-10, 11,12, 13-13.

For the Rams Walker Boos shot 13 points; Jacob Stewart 10; Burke Mastel 9; Brandon Emineth and Thomas Buchanan 6 and Tyler Schrowe 2.

Spirits improved two days later with a win over Shepherd 57-49.
