Red Lodge BPA off to Dallas

The 2018 Red Lodge High School Business Professionals of America (BPA) team (right)just finished competing in the State Convention and nine of the students are State Champions this year. They will be heading to the National Convention in Dallas, Texas, May 9.

The competitors were complimented on their appearance, respect, poise, and kindness. 

This year, Andrew Moreno was the State Champion in Computer Programming, Camron Avent was State Champion for Graphic Design Promotion, and Chloe Hill, Malyn McJunkin, Alexa Reimer, and Shane Vomund were State Champions in the event, Broadcast News Production Team. 

The Website Design Team, Sophie Hiltner, Jake Stockwell, and Marshall Baker also took first place in their event. 

The team is very excited on the prospect of going to Dallas and competing in the National Convention. They hope to bring back a third National Champion, as Alisha Reimer did in 2017 and Drew Meyer in 2016.

    Ross Orchards, located at 111 North Street in Fromberg, is proud to announce the opening of a farm stand this Fall. The orchard will be open Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sundays noon - 5 p.m. starting Sept. 21 and closing Oct. 13. The orchard is working in conjunction with the Last Chance Pub and Cider Mill and Red Lodge Ales to offer fun, family-friendly events.   Every weekend apples, fresh apple cider pressed with apples from the orchard, apple pastries, local honey, food, hard cider, and beer will be available.  There will also be pumpkins and a variety of local produce for sale. Additionally, each weekend will have a different event. Sept. 21 - 22 – Cider and Salutations yoga 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Sept. 28 – A farm to table dinner at 5 p.m. catered by the Last Chance Pub’s chef Kevin McNourlin.
