Thursday, September 26, 2019

To assist students in preparing for and applying to college, Red Lodge High School is participating in Montana’s statewide College Application Week on Sept. 30- Oct. 4. The goal of the week is to help all seniors apply to some type of post high school program, including certificate programs, two-year degree programs, and four-year degree programs.

During Montana College Application Week, students at Red Lodge High School will be participating in a variety of college awareness activities, including developing college budgets, completing college comparisons, and examining options after high school.  Seniors and their parents are invited to attend a Financial Aid workshop on Wednesday, Oct. 2, where they will learn about ways to pay for college and kinds of financial aid available to students.  They will also be completing and filing the Free Application For Federal Student Aid.

Montana College Application Week is coordinated by Montana GEAR UP of the Montana University System, in collaboration with the Office of Public Instruction, the Governor’s Office, and a steering committee representing the K-12 and postsecondary community, community based organizations, and all sectors of Montana’s higher education system.
