At approximately 1:30 a.m. on Easter morning Carbon County Dispatch received a 911 call for help from a stranded family in the Pryor Mountains.  The family of five were camped near Bear Canyon, and after dinner they had gone exploring on a UTV.  The snow progressively got deeper and the UTV became stuck.  The family tried to get the UTV unstuck, but were unsuccessful.

The Carbon County Sheriff’s Department and Red Lodge Search and Rescue responded to assist.  Red Lodge Search and Rescue used their new tracked UTV to locate the family and transport them back to the safety of their camper.  The family was thankful and in good health.
