Scouts fly through opposition

Bridger followed on last week’s victories by bagging more wins, this time against Broadview-Lavina and Reed Point Rapelje

The boys made short work of the B-L Pirates defeating them 63-47 after a fairly tight first half that had the Scouts trailing 27-23 going into the second period.

A second half blitz by the Scouts tipped the game in their favor, outscoring their opponents 40-20.

Koton Pospisil dunked 15 points with Colter Zentner on

14. Colby Zentner added 11 and Carson Roberts 10 with Kaleb Buessing on 8.

The girls also defeated the Lady Pirates, taking them 32-24 in a much tighter affair where neither team got a hold of the game.

A first half lead of 12-7 meant that both sides still had plenty to play for but it was the Lady Scouts who narrowly found the basket in the end.

Jessica Adkins led the team scores with 14 with Emily Adkins on 8. Five other players all scored 2 vital points each; Sam Fusco, Serena Oyler, Desiree Jones, Kate Aisenbrey and Jenna Kallevig.

The boys continued their winning ways next defeating Reed Point Rapelje 54-38. This time the opponents were not given the opportunity to lead at any stage of the proceedings as the Scouts took a 25-22 lead into the locker room at the half. The Scouts came out to the second on fire, scorching through two quarters 16-10 and 13-3 to take the game.

Colter Zentner took over the top scoring spot with 17 points, as Pospisil followed up with 12, Roberts 11 and Buessing on 10.

The Lady Scouts didn’t fair as well the second match out, narrowly losing to RPR by 3 points, 31-28. Again, a close game with Bridger leading 22-19 going into the final quarter they suddenly saw a collapse of form as RPR romped home with the spoils.

Scoring for Bridger were Desiree Jones and J.Adkins both on 8 points, with W. Adkins on 6 and Oyler and Kate Aisenbrey on 4.
