The Bridger High School football team wasted no time, putting up 36 points in the first quarter and rolling out of Week 1 with a win, a crushing 63-0 shutout of Ten Sleep, Wyo. on Sept. 4.
Lucius Payovich's three touchdowns – two on the ground and one through air – helped his team to the first win of the season. Payovich rushed for 80 yards and two scores, while hauling in 37 yards and another.
Chance Goltz helped lift the Scouts (1-0) on both offense and defense. Goltz went 3-for-4 with 74 yards passing and a score, while also recording two safeties in the first quarter on defense. Goltz also carried in a 7-yard touchdown early, to help the Scouts get ahead quickly.
Ten Sleep (0-1) never found paydirt Friday night, as the Scouts’ defense stayed staunch, recording 41 tackles and two sacks. In all, the Scouts dropped Ten Sleep 14 times for tackles for losses. Cooper Frank came away with the Scouts lone pick of Ten Sleep.

Next up for Bridger is a trip to Shields Valley on Sept. 11 for a Southern C Conference matchup.
