Shining Mountain Chapter of DAR installs officers

The Shining Mountain Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the Revolution (DAR) installed the following officers at their May 7 meeting in Billings.

(Pictured right to left) Regent -- Leslie Boothroyd (Billings); Vice Regent -- Barbara Bergum (Billings); Treasurer – Linda Edwards (Columbus); Recording Secretary – Suzi Hansen (Roberts); Registrar – Judy Morseman (Red Lodge); Chaplain -- Linda Luse (Billings).

Three addition officers will be installed at a fall meeting – Corresponding Secretary – Shelley Green (Billings), Historian – Peggy Sukut (Billings), Librarian – Brenda Young (Billings).

The DAR was founded in 1890 to promote historic preservation, education and patriotism. Its members are descended from the patriots who won American independence during the Revolutionary War. DAR members are committed to volunteer service in communities throughout the world.
