Ski Swap announced in Billings

The Silver Run Ski Team announces the 5th Annual Billings Ski Swap and Outdoor Gear Sale to be held on Oct. 27 - 28 at the Shrine Auditorium in Billings at 1125 Broadwater Ave. The Ski Swap is a great opportunity to get ready for winter without spending a fortune.
New this year: Premium Access on Friday evening! Shoppers wishing to get the best selection can buy gear on Friday, Oct. 27 from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. $5 admission per adult for Premium Access.
Parents love the Ski Swap because they can get their kids the right sized equipment at a fraction of the cost of new gear. Allison Smith, parent of a fast-growing teenage boy, said “I buy my son two pairs of used boots at the Ski Swap every year, each a different size, because his feet are growing so fast!”
Anyone is welcome to consign their used or new equipment to the sale. The web-based consignment system allows sellers to complete all of the necessary paperwork at their convenience, making the process fast and easy. Silver Run will retain 25 percent of all sales to support club operations and fund the part-time coaching staff for the team of around 100 youth skiers.
Sellers can drop off their items at the Shrine Auditorium beginning Friday, Oct. 27 from 12 – 7 p.m., and on Saturday morning from 8 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. Doors open at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning.
Silver Run Skiing Foundation is a nonprofit organization that has been in operation since 1939. Since then, it has become an avenue for competitive youth and adult ski racing as well as youth free skiing, and has close to 100 active members from Montana and Wyoming. Silver Run is proud to provide an avenue for overall wellness, self-confidence, goal setting and accomplishment, and friendship building – all in a healthy, competitive environment. The team trains at Red Lodge Mountain and competes throughout the west.
