Stewart “Van” Quinn

Stewart Vandorn Quinn, 83, affectionately known to all as just “Van”, peacefully passed into heaven on Dec. 31, 2017 at Cedar Wood Healthcare Community in Red Lodge.
He was born on Dec. 8, 1934 in Lake Village, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lynton Daniel Quinn and Grace Pearl Green Quinn of Dierks, Arizona; three sisters, Inez Chandler of Dierks, Arizona, Neva Walker of Pine Bluff, Arizona, and Sue Bennett of Grants Pass, Oregon; two brothers, Stanley Quinn of Columbus, Georgia and James Quinn of San Diego, California; and his beautiful daughter, Vanessa Quinn Richardson of Red Lodge.
Van is survived by his ex-wife and close friend of many years, Alma (Kit) Quinn; his son, Chris Quinn; granddaughter, Brittany and grandson, Damon, all of Red Lodge; his nephew Anthony L. Quinn and his wife, Tammy, of Crosses Arizona; and a younger sister, Vanda Jo Montalvo and her husband, Homer, of Bakersfield, California; plus a host of great nieces and nephews.
Van was a kind hearted and generous man. Until he became physically unable, his greatest pastime was fishing. He loved to fish Rock Creek and always knew how to find the best holes. He was also passionate about his favorite football team, the Arkansas Razorbacks.
He was a loving father and grandfather, uncle and friend to so many. He will be greatly missed.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thurs., Jan. 4 at Smith-Olcott Funeral Chapel in Red Lodge.
