Letters to the Editor:

The Carbon County News encourages letters to the editor.  Writers should limit contributions to 500 words average and must include signature, address and daytime phone number for verification. Please observe the deadline for letters 10 a.m., Tuesday morning. We no longer accept thank you letters covering all manner of activities. We reserve the right to edit letters for brevity, civility, or libelous content. We do not publish letters that, in the opinion of this newspaper, contain gratuitous invective, attempt to enhance one enterprise at the expense of another, or whose sole intent is to cast aspersion; or letters that we judge to constitute an advertisement. We also have the right to refuse any letter. Please, not more than one letter per month by the same author on the same topic.
