$1,500 damage was caused to the Carbon County Courthouse building when this Dodge Ram truck was driven into it, Jan. 29.

Tyge DeVries, of Roberts, was charged with two felony counts, criminal endangerment and criminal mischief, when he allegedly drove his Dodge Ram truck into the Carbon County Courthouse building, Jan. 29.

The incident happened at noon.

According to court papers filed at the courthouse by Deputy Carbon County Attorney Shannon Foley, DeVries was observed driving south on Broadway and seen making a U-turn near the intersection of Broadway and 10th street.

DeVries eventually lowered himself onto his stomach, state court documents, and he was arrested by Thompson and Red Lodge Police Chief Jason Wells.

While being interviewed by Wells, DeVries admitted he intentionally drove the vehicle into the building said court documents.
