Amelia Anna Hetland

Amelia Anna Hetland, 82, of Red Lodge went to be with her Lord and family in Heaven on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018.

“Amy” was born in Fallon, Montana, on Nov. 9, 1935 to Gottlieb and Emily (Quade) Dalke. She was the 8th born of 9 children. She attended the Montana School for the Deaf and Blind at age 4 (1940) and graduated in 1955.

Later that year she met John Raymus Hetland in Billings, Montana, and two years later they married on June 18, 1957. They were married for 42 years until John passed away in 1999.

In that time they had two sons, Rick Lorne Hetland (June 22, 1963 – Sept. 1, 2007) and Kevin Oswald Hetland (Aug. 30, 1968 – Aug. 31, 1968). One grandson, Andrew Brian Hetland, of Missoula now survives

Amelia worked for businesses such as St. Vincent Hospital, Natalie’s Café and the Red Lodge Community Foundation.

We will miss you dearly with our tears, memories in our hearts and the family beloved song, “March to Zion”. May you rest easy in Heaven. ILY
