Eric Stephen Woodden

Thursday, August 2, 2018

Eric Stephen Woodden was called home at the age of 38 to be with his Dad, Steve, and his Heavenly Father.

He began his life journey in Hot Springs, South Dakota on April 26, 1980. Eric was fortunate to attend elementary through high school in Red Lodge, Montana, where he enjoyed being an athlete and spending time with his dear friends.

After graduating, Eric attended MSU and Gallatin College.  He worked as a carpenter and most recently as a machinist at Autopilot Designs.

Eric and Steve loved spending time together.  They shared many, many hours flying and having friendly competitions on the back nine.  They are now reunited and the adventures will roll on.

Eric’s greatest joy in life were his two beautiful and spunky daughters, Ellie (age

7) and Tillie (age 5).  Their time together was precious, whether they were hanging out at Grandma’s, hiking, going to the movies or just being together.

Eric’s soulmate and best friend, Amanda Ness, have been building a life and family together. They enjoyed simple things including quiet nights at home cooking, binge-watching Netflix, road trips, listening to music and watching the stars.

Amanda was always amused with Eric’s never ending quest to track down Bigfoot.

Eric is survived by his daughters, Ellie and Tillie, soulmate, Amanda, mother, Sally, grandparents, Wesley and Lena Nelson and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father, Steve, brother, Jonathan, grandparents Dale and Ruby Keiser and grandfather Merle Woodden.

Funeral services were held on Monday, July 30 at 10:30 a.m., at Red Lodge Alliance Chapel. Visitation is one hour before the service. Interment in Red Lodge Cemetery. Condolences may be shared with the family by visiting smithfuneralchapels.com."
